We administer federal and state funds through programs designed to advance the development of energy-efficient and affordable housing for working families, drive housing policy for Louisiana, and oversee the state's Disaster Housing Task Force.

Corporation Updates

NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY FOR PRIME-4

The Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) has released a Notice of Funding Availability and Program Implementation Guidelines (“NOFA”) for the availability of Twenty Million Dollars ($20,000,000.00) in Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds – Prime 4.

The amount of funds available herein is subject to upward or downward adjustment by the LHC. The terms of this NOFA and the terms of the 2025 QAP are subject to revision. Any changes to this NOFA will be subject to notification through an amendment to this NOFA. Any changes to the 2025 QAP will be subject to notification through an amendment to the 2025 QAP. Such amendments may be issued at any time following public notice of a public hearing to be held for such amendments and required approvals of the amendments by the Governor. All terms for this program are subject to the State of Louisiana’s HUD-approved Master Action Plan for the Utilization of Community Development Block Grant Funds in Response to 2020 and 2021 Federal Declarations in Louisiana, as amended, and the 2025 Qualified Allocation Plan.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to read the NOFA in its entirety with the 2025 QAP and proposed amendment.

For this month's LHC On Your Block, we had the opportunity to meet with one of LHC's Certified CHDOs and showcase the affordable housing work happening in Oakdale, LA. The Bread of Life Community Development Corporation of Louisiana shows us the impact they have made and introduces us to one of their first-time homeowners. LHC and Bread of Life Community Development work together to serve the residents of Louisiana. Watch this video to learn more about collaborative efforts.

PRIME-4

#TeamLHC held a public hearing and a developer's forum for PRIME-4 at LHC Headquarters. We appreciate those who came out to these meetings.

Candygrams with LHC

LHC staff members spread some holiday cheer this December by gifting coworkers candy canes and messages of encouragement. LHC would like to thank all staff members for participating in this endeavor and to LHC Public Affairs for making this possible

End of the Year Staff Meeting

The LHC Executive Team and Staff held their annual end-of-the-year team meeting in December. Service awards were given out to those for their time at LHC.

LHC Loan Officer Training Courses

LHC's Homeownership Marketing Supervisor, Daniel Duggan, held a December virtual Loan Officer Training Course focused on educating loan officers on LHC programs. These courses are offered monthly. To sign up for our next one, look under LHC's Events section.
