LHC On Your Block is back, and this past month, we took a closer look at McDonogh 16 in New Orleans, LA. This affordable multifamily complex specializes in assisting low-income individuals and providing them with additional services to address mental health, addiction, and more.

Monroe
#TeamLHC had a fantastic time connecting with attendees who came out to learn about homeownership resources, housing opportunities, and the path to achieving their dream of owning a home at the 5th Annual Home in Monroe event.Over the course of this two-day event, participants gained valuable insights from housing professionals and advocates on topics including the homebuying process, maintaining a home, and building long-term housing stability. Daniel Duggan, with LHC's homeownership outreach team enjoyed meeting with attendees and sharing how the Louisiana Housing Corporation can help support their homeownership journey every step of the way.
Alexandria
As a part of Homeownership Month, Duggan represented LHC at the Keys to the Dream: A Blueprint to Homeownership event held by Red River Bank and the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Slidell
During the 3rd Annual Slidell Homeownership Expo: Homeownership Unplugged, Duggan presented alongside the Saint Tammany Habitat for Humanity and other housing advocates. The event was well attended and demonstrated that homeownership is possible.
Public Hearing at LHC Headquarters
LHC, the Louisiana Dept. of Health, and the Office of Community Development held a public hearing for the Fiscal Year 2027 Annual Action Plan and the Fiscal Year 2025 CAPER.
Bogalusa
#TeamLHC participated in the 10th annual Bogalusa Rebirth Housing Resource Fair. LHC's Homeownership Outreach Marketing Team member, Dianne Cashio, represented LHC. She spoke with attendees about LHC homeownership programs and the importance of homeownership.
Lake Charles
#TeamLHC partnered with the HUD Outreach Team to host a homeownership event focused on how stronger futures start at home. The event was held at the Louisiana Board of Realtors and included many stakeholders in the housing community.

The LHC Board of Directors approved the resolution of the appointment of Patrick Voelker as Secretary of the Louisiana Housing Corporation Board of Directors and the appointment of Donna Deculus as alternate Secretary of the Louisiana Housing Corporation Board of Directors.
Approved the issuance and parameter sale of not exceeding One Hundred, Twenty-Five Million Dollars ($125,000,000) of Louisiana Housing Corporation Single Family Mortgage Revenue Bonds in one or more tax-exempt or taxable series or subseries; approving the form of a Series Supplemental Indenture in connection with the aforesaid Bonds; authorizing and directing Bond Counsel to submit an application to the Louisiana State Bond Commission for approval of a series not to exceed Seventy-Five Million Dollars ($75,000,000) of Single Family Mortgage Revenue Bonds.
June as Homeownership Month
In June 2026, #TeamLHC celebrated Homeownership Month across the state. LHC's Homeownership Outreach team wanted to remind our Louisiana housing professionals that LHC is a resource for the homebuying process.
