We administer federal and state funds through programs designed to advance the development of energy-efficient and affordable housing for working families, drive housing policy for Louisiana, and oversee the state's Disaster Housing Task Force. 

 

Each day our mission is met by a dedicated staff of professionals who help families make their housing dreams a reality.

LA State Capitol

LHC's Lauren Holmes was invited to speak to Louisiana Community Action Agencies during Community Action Day at the Louisiana State Capitol. These agencies perform the important work of serving Louisiana residents through LHC’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and other programs. Louisiana’s Community Action Agencies work to ensure the causes and conditions of poverty are effectively addressed and to strengthen, promote, represent, and serve Louisiana communities.   

Baton Rouge

LHC's Homeownership Outreach Marketing Team Member, Dianne Cashio, promoted LHC Homeownership Programs at a CATS event. 

East Baton Rouge Finance Fest

Duggan also attended the 2026 EBR Finance Fest to help the city's parish mayor and the Metro Council share housing opportunities provided by LHC.

New Roads

LHC's Staff worked to help eligible applicants complete their LIHEAP Program Applications. Eligible Applicants had to be residents of Pointe Coupee Parish and have an appointment beforehand to participate in the in-person application sign-up. 

Shreveport

LHC's Homeownership Marketing Supervisor, Daniel Duggan, hosted continuing education courses for real estate professionals. He conducted approximately 10 classes around the state. One of the locations he stopped in was at Red River Bank in Shreveport, LA. Through this tour he trained hundreds of Louisiana real estate professionals on LHC products and services.

Louisiana Housing Corporation have left a lasting impact and will always be cherished. He will officially retire at the end of May 2026.

Budget and Finance Committee

  • The LHC Board of Directors discussed the LHC Quarterly Statement of Net Position.

  • Discussed the LHC Balance Sheet for March 2026

  • Discussed the LHC Profit & Loss by Funding Source for March 2026

  • Discussed the LHC Unrestricted Cash Balances

  • Discussed the LHC Proposed Operating Budget for FY 2026-2027

 

Programs Committee

  • The LHC Board of Directors approved the resolution for the proposal of Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust Company for the purchase of an additional One Million Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,050,000) Multifamily Housing Revenue Drawdown Bonds for Federal City - Building 10 Project located at 2400 Guadalcanal St., New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana 70114.

  • Approved the resolution to issue Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds in one or more series to finance the acquisition, rehabilitation, and equipping of multiple multifamily housing developments within the State of Louisiana described in Schedules I through X hereto; and providing for other matters in connection with the foregoing
