We administer federal and state funds through programs designed to advance the development of energy-efficient and affordable housing for working families, drive housing policy for Louisiana, and oversee the state's Disaster Housing Task Force.

LHC held a public hearing for the updated Qualified Allocation Plan. LHC's Multifamily Development Department answered questions from contractors and the general public.
Baton Rouge
LHC celebrated the grand opening of Hollywood Heights and Acres as a housing partner. The development is for senior citizens.

LHC's Homeownership Team hosted a Homeownership seminar at Lakeview High School to promote LHC's Homeownership programs. LHC's Daniel Duggan and Terry Hale represented #TeamLHC.
Gonzales
LHC's Homelessness Solutions staff met with the Mayor of Gonzales to discuss how the LA BOSCOC can support their development of a local homelessness services system.
Quarterly CHDO Meeting
LHC's Certified CHDOs participated in the first CHDO meeting of 2025. Topics included asset management, long-term compliance, the HOME program, and operating CHDO assistance.
Evolve Family Life Services
In Shreveport, LHC's Homeownership Team participated in a job fair where various vendors presented job opportunities, housing opportunities, and medical and veteran assistance.
Lake Charles
#TeamLHC saw the incredible progress made for Capstone at the Oaks. The development will create 120 new senior units with access to a community facility, supportive services, and resources for the aging community.
Louisiana Community Action Agencies Conference
In Lake Charles, LHC's Energy Assistance Department presented to community action agencies on LIHEAP.
Keys for Service Partnership with the City of Lake Charles
#TeamLHC enjoyed their time in Lake Charles with Mayor Nic Hunter to announce the City of Lake Charles' partnership with the Keys for Service Program.
Shreveport
LHC's Homeownership Department participated in the "Fueling Financial Empowerment" luncheon to discuss the upcoming City of Shreveport Housing Fair happening on June 28th. Discussions also included first-time homebuyers counseling, down payment assistance programs, and the various programs that LHC offers.
Mandeville
LHC's Daniel Duggan and Dexter Alexander attended the Habitat for Humanity Western St. Tammany Annual Fundraising Breakfast to discuss and collaborate on promoting affordable housing solutions amongst other local officials.
Lake Charles
#TeamLHC presented a Continuing Education Course focused on closing the affordability gap.
