We administer federal and state funds through programs designed to advance the development of energy-efficient and affordable housing for working families, drive housing policy for Louisiana, and oversee the state's Disaster Housing Task Force.
Each day, this ongoing challenge to produce more safe, affordable, and energy-efficient housing is met by a dedicated staff of professionals who help families make their housing dreams a reality.

Corporation Updates
#TeamLHC buzzes with excitement as we welcome Leslie Chambers as our new Chief of Staff. Leslie is a proud graduate of Southern University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in English/Liberal Arts and her Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center. Before joining LHC, Leslie served as Assistant Chief Administrative Officer to Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome from 2020 to 2024, Deputy Executive Counsel and Criminal Justice Policy Advisor for former Governor John Bel Edwards from 2018 to 2022, and Assistant District Attorney for East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore, III 2009-2018. Leslie is a proven leader and has successfully advanced policies that matter to Louisiana's citizens. Leslie, we are so happy to have you on our team!
Fair Housing
To commemorate Fair Housing Month, #TeamLHC partnered with the Louisiana Office of Attorney General to discuss the importance of your rights and what actions you can take if they are violated.
Fair Housing Summit
#TeamLHC also hosted the public for a Fair Housing Summit, inviting guest speakers from all across Louisiana to promote fair housing practices and foster inclusive communities. LHC facilitated meaningful discussions, shared insights, and collaborated on strategies to advance fair housing opportunities for all.

Funding Announcements & Public Notices
NOFA: HOME-ARP SERVICES AND NON-PROFITS ASSISTANCE
The Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) released the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the preliminary commitment of up to $35M of combined HUD HOME-American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) funds and HUD CDBG-DR 2020-2021 funds. This NOFA is designed to provide funding for the development of multifamily affordable rental housing development in the state of Louisiana to assist people experiencing homelessness, those at risk of becoming homeless, and other vulnerable populations. Franklin
#TeamLHC and St. Mary's Community Action hosted a homebuyer educational seminar. LHC Homeownership Marketing Supervisor Daniel Duggan and LHC Board Member Willie Rack joined St. Mary's Community Action Agency Executive Director Almetra Franklin for the lesson. Over 35 people learned about homebuyer counseling, education, and the State of Louisiana down payment assistance.
Baton Rouge
LHC staff got their hearts pumping at the Capital Area Walk. LHC raised over $1,000 to show their support, and a special congrats to Sharonda Rachal who won the Move More Challenge
2024 National Home Performance Conference
Construction & Compliance Monitoring Administrator Todd Folse and Training Center Coordinator Pam Lewandowski traveled to Minnesota for the National Home Performance Conference.

Daniel Duggan joined Jericho Road in Terrebonne Parish to unveil the first 19 of 27 homes for the resettlement of Isle deJean Charles.

LHC Homeownership Department spent the day presenting to realtors about the benefits of LHC's programs at the Capital Hilton Hotel.

The Board of Directors approved a $1.5M Multifamily Housing Revenue Note for Millennium Studios III, a 122-unit residential rental project in Caddo Parish.

Disposition Plan of LHC owned assets
Approved issuing a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) to seek proposals from entities to provide Homelessness Prevention Services using HOME-ARP funding for Rapid Rehousing, Supportive Services, and Capacity Building.
Approved a Request for Proposals (RFP) to seek proposals for a contractor or firm to provide a Statewide Housing Needs Assessment.
Approved LHC's resolution and authorization to select and contract with selected proposer(s) to the RFP for Single Family Master Servicer were approved.
