LHC's mission is to ensure that every Louisiana resident is granted an opportunity to obtain safe, affordable, energy-efficient housing. We administer federal and state funds through programs designed to advance the development of energy-efficient and affordable housing for working families, drive housing policy for Louisiana, and oversee the state's Disaster Housing Task Force.
Each day, this ongoing challenge to produce more safe, affordable, and energy-efficient housing is met by a dedicated staff of professionals who help families make their housing dreams a reality.

Request for Proposals (RFP): Consulting Services for Homelessness and Housing Voucher Programs & Environmental Services
The Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) Board of Directors approved the issuance of a RFP for Environmental Services and Consulting Services for Homelessness and Housing Voucher Programs. Each RFP, FAQ, and Addendum has been uploaded to LHC's Website. Click the buttons to download each PDF.

Pre-Draft 2025 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) Meetings
In an effort to expand our reach, LHC hosted three discussion sessions across the state for the 2025 Pre-Draft QAP. The meetings were held in Monroe, New Orleans, and Baton Rouge, and allowed folks to contribute their insights and recommendations for the framework of the 2025 QAP.
LaPlace
LHC joined community leaders at the Energy Justice to the People Roadshow, to learn more about the benefits of solar and resiliency features and home weatherization funds.
Baton Rouge
LHC's Daniel Duggan was the keynote speaker at Caresouth, where he focused on how the Keys for Service Program can help healthcare workers become homeowners.
Gray
#TeamLHC visited New Isle de Jean Charles to get a progress update of the Phase II construction. The project will construct 19 units using federal HOME program funds that LHC administers.
Monroe
LHC's Homeownership Team also conducted continuing education classes for real estate agents in North Louisiana. The classes took place in Monroe, Shreveport, and Bossier City.

LHC Board of Directors Approve Resolution of the Home Appliance Replacement Program (HARP) for Senior Citizens
Project Highlights
Morningside at Joor Place | Baton Rouge, LA. LHC board of directors approved the issue to not to exceed $22,400,000 in Multifamily Revenue Bonds. The new construction project will consist of 145 units dedicated to senior citizens under a fixed income. There will be 73 one-bedroom and 72 two-bedroom units.
LHC Board members accept Audit Results regarding June 30, 2023 from LHC General Fund, LHC Combined Willowbrook Apartments, Village de Jardin Apartments, Mid-City Garden Apartments, and Louisiana Housing Authority.
Action Items
Board members approved the issuance of a RFP for Environmental Services and Consulting Services for Homelessness and Housing Voucher Programs.
Homelessness is every day, not just a holiday. Throughout the month of November, LHC participated or assisted with events, coordinated by the Homelessness Solutions Department, to help alleviate the burdens of hunger and homelessness in Louisiana. LHC successfully participated in 13 events, across 9 regions, creating awareness and promoting resources for homelessness.
This also launched the Service Champion Award. LHC will award six deserving nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individuals who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to serving Louisiana's homeless population.

LHC's Bayou Classic Think Tank House Party was a huge success! Thank you to our Homeownership staff, our partners at HUD, and our sponsors for making this event possible. Think Tank House Party is about educating Louisiana citizens about the homeownership process and its benefits.
Veterans Day
Honoring our very own this November for Veterans Day. The Public Affairs Department highlighted two LHC employees Ronald Head and Konchetta Bringier, on their service in the armed forces. #TeamLHC is grateful for all of our veterans.
