The Louisiana Housing Corporation administers federally-funded programs that assist residents impacted by natural disasters to find safe housing.


In keeping with its mission to ensure that every Louisiana resident is granted an opportunity to obtain safe, affordable, energy-efficient housing, the LHC assists residents impacted by natural disasters by administering funds from federal programs.

Disasters with Available Funding:

Hurricanes Katrina & Rita

The Small Rental Property Program (SRPP) allows for short-term leases for residents displaced due to Hurricanes Katrina & Rita. This federally-funded program was implemented to provide assistance to landlord applicants renting residential properties to income-eligible tenants.
