Report Fraud, Waste and Abuse

The LHC Internal Audit Department has a Fraud Hotline for reporting allegations of theft, fraud, waste or abuse of public funds. If you suspect fraud/waste/abuse, you may report such to the Internal Audit Division by leaving a message at 225.763.8860 or by emailing LHC-Fraud@lhc.la.gov

Please provide the following information to our office when filing a report: name and address of the person suspected of fraud, name of the apartment complex in which the suspect resides if applicable, description of alleged fraud, type of housing assistance involved (e.g. Section 8, Emergency Rental Assistance, etc.), and your name/phone number should you want a callback to discuss or in order that we may contact you for follow-up questions.

Your name and contact information as well as the status of the complaint are confidential. However, there may be situations where we have need to provide your contact information to another agency or department involved in the investigation. We will make every effort to contact you beforehand for agreement to do so in these instances.

Alternatively, if you suspect theft, fraud, waste or abuse of public funds by anyone, you can submit a report to the Louisiana Legislative Auditor (LLA).
