Moss Bluff, LA—The Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) alongside Atrium Housing, Innovative Housing, LLC, and Calcasieu Parish Public Trust Authority celebrate the groundbreaking of Parkway Commons which will provide affordable housing units in Moss Bluff.

Parkway Commons will be a newly constructed affordable multifamily housing complex that will include a total of 48 townhomes with various bedroom options for low-income families and individuals. The mixed-income development will be adjacent to a shopping center that includes a grocery store, restaurants, and a pharmacy.

The townhomes will also have FORTIFIED Gold standard features, meaning the townhomes will be built to withstand hurricanes, tornadoes, and other severe weather events that may impact Louisiana and its residents.

LHC contributed to the funding of Parkway Commons. The project received $10.5M in Multifamily Revenue Bonds, $611,573 in Low Income Housing Tax Credits, and Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Financing Gap Loan funds of $8,624,212. "The Louisiana Housing is proud to help fund a development that aligns with our mission to make sure every Louisiana resident has the opportunity to safe, affordable, and energy-efficient housing," said LHC Executive Director Kevin Delahoussaye. "We are grateful for our partners such as Innovative Housing, LLC, Atrium Housing, and The Calcasieu Parish Public Trust Authority for helping us make housing dreams a reality for the people in Louisiana."
