LHC Board of Directors to Review Governor Landry's Recommendations for the 2025 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP)

July 1, 2024

1 July 2024—Governor Jeff Landry has proposed a series of recommendations to enhance the 2025 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP), aimed at bolstering affordable housing initiatives across Louisiana. The Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) Board of Directors will now review and consider the Governor's goals and priorities that place an emphasis on cost containment, increased housing opportunities for seniors and single parent households, and assistance to victims of domestic violence.

“I am thankful to Governor Landry for the attention he has given to reviewing and making recommendations on the 2025 Qualified Allocation Plan," said LHC Executive Director Marjorianna Willman. "It is clear that housing is important to Governor Landry’s Administration. The LHC team will work as expeditiously as possible to address the areas that are referenced in the correspondence dated July 1, 2024."

The QAP serves as a pivotal framework for allocating federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), crucial in incentivizing private investment in affordable housing projects. Click below to access Governor Landry's letter.
