In keeping with its mission to ensure that every Louisiana resident is granted an opportunity to obtain safe, affordable, energy-efficient housing, the LHC works with homebuyer counselors to help make sure homebuyers are prepared for buying their new home. Several of the LHC’s mortgage programs require homebuyer counseling.
The Louisiana Housing Corporation understands the value of homeownership in our communities, and also the costs and obligations that come with it. That is why it is part of our mission to prepare potential homeowners as they make this investment so they can make the most of it. Our Homeownership Education Counseling Program can help understand the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of homeownership. LHC's approved grantees present a series of workshops to help homebuyers.
