Events

This section references all events as found on the Events page of the website. To locate your event listings, navigate to Marketing > Files & Templates > HubDB then select the Events table. Instructions provided below will begin from this screen.

The events listings are created dynamically using the HubSpot Database Tool. From the table you can Add, Edit, and/or Delete events. The only information/sections that can be edited on the actual Events page are the introduction text and icon in the header section.

Create New Event

  1. To add a new event, click Guide_AddRow
  2. Enter all applicable information into the provided fields as follows:
    1. Page Title: This is the title that appears at the top of the full event details page)
    2. Page Path: This is the custom URL created for the full details page, this URL must be unique and cannot have been used anywhere else already. For recurring events with the same title, we recommend including the date (day #) at the end of the URL to easily distinguish them. For example, the First Time Homebuyers Event on November 10 could be listed as first-time-home-buyer-seminar-nov-10.)
    3. Event Title: Repeat the same information here as what is listed for Page Title.
    4. Start Day & Time: Select from the calendar the starting day and time of your event.
    5. End Day & Time: Select from the calendar the ending day and time of your event.
    6. Event Description: Enter all the event information you would like to provide here. Please note that only the first 15-20 words/100-110 characters will appear on the event block. The full description is visible from the full events detail page. **DO NOT style any part of the description that will appear on the event listing block (i.e. Bold, Italicize, Underline, etc). Doing so will cause conflicts with the layout of the events grid. You can freely style any of part of the description that appears after the first 15-20 words/100-110 characters without issue.
    7. Event Image: Click to select an image or upload a new image to the media library. Click Browse Folders and select the folder title Events. To help keep the media library organized, please upload all images for events to this folder.
    8. Event Category: Choose the category associated with your event. You can select from one of the following options: Homebuyer Education Lender Training Realtor Training Resource Fairs Public Hearings Housing Development Training Community Actions Partners Training Continuum of Care Training Weatherization Compliance Training Homelessness Prevention Conference/Exhibit.
    9. Location Name + City: This is the short location information that appears on the event listing block (i.e. LHC Office, Baton Rouge).
    10. Location (Full Address): Insert the full address here including street, city, state, and zip code.
    11. Show RSVP: If you would like to include the standard RSVP form, select YES Display Logo? If you would like to display the logo of the events sponsor or host, choose a selection from the dropdown.
    12. Sponsor/Host Logo: If you selected to show a sponsor/host logo click to select an image or upload a new one. Click Browse Folders and select the folder titled Events. To help keep the media library organized, please upload all images for events to this folder.
  3. Click Button_Update to push all changes live to the public. *If you do not see your changes on the Events page, come back to the table and click Update a second time to ensure your changes are deployed.

Edit Event

  1. Click any field to edit the event details.
  2. Click Button_Update to push all changes live to the public. *If you do not see your changes on the Events page, come back to the table and click Update a second time to ensure your changes are deployed.

Delete Event

  1. From the first column (ID), click the dropdown arrow and click Remove.
  2. Click Button_Update to push all changes live to the public. *If you do not see your changes on the Events page, come back to the table and click Update a second time to ensure your changes are deployed.
