Wednesday, 6 March 2024—The Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) is proud to announce its inaugural Fair Housing Summit on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 2415 Quail Drive, Baton Rouge, LA, 70808. Themed Fair Housing for All: Uniting Communities, Bridging Gaps, the summit marks the 56th anniversary of the Fair Housing Act.
The Fair Housing Act, passed on April 11, 1968, ensures that all individuals have equal access to housing regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or disability. These laws are enforced at both the federal and state levels.
LHC’s Fair Housing Summit aims to raise awareness about fair housing rights, commemorate the historical milestones of the Fair Housing Act, and provide a platform for discussions on the current state of fair housing in Louisiana.
