The Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) Board of Directors awarded more than $10 million for the construction and rehabilitation of four privately-owned affordable housing developments. The developments will benefit 305 households, comprised of working families, veterans and seniors in New Orleans.
Edwards will champion initiatives for disabled veterans and people with special needs.

The Louisiana Balance of State Continuum of Care (LA BOSCOC), led by the Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) and Louisiana Housing Authority (LHA), has been awarded more than $16 million from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to continue the fight to end homelessness. This award is an increase of nearly $1 million from the previous year. In total, HUD has awarded more than $46 million to fund housing and supportive services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Louisiana.
This initiative is funded by the Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC). The LHC received funding after the August 2016 flood that was focused on providing rapid rehousing, as well as permanent supportive housing to the homeless in the state.
